The much anticipated Blanks Studios is the hottest dance/fitness space in Los Angeles and the only one in the Valley to offer a variety of dance and dance/fitness classes with no membership.

We feature some of the most popular programs in the industry from DIO®, Zumba®, Groov3™ and showcase all styles of dance from around the world. Our Special Event Master Classes are taught by So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars alumni, as well as other celebrity choreographers and dancers.

We are an ego and attitude free zone! There’s only room for dancing, sweating, laughing, and having fun. No judgement. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or seasoned professional, we thank you for dancing with us. In addition to taking your favorite classes regularly, we hope you’ll be open to surprising yourself by choosing a class you never thought you’d find yourself in. Billy Blanks Jr.


Self taught and working professionally from his youth, Billy gained much exposure and experience in the world of dance and entertainment. As a young teen he choreographed school musical productions and created after school dance groups. As Billy’s notoriety grew, he earned roles as a dancer in music videos with Paula Abdul, Madonna, Crystal Method (directed by Gore Verbinski), Quincy Jones, and Babyface. His credits also include TV appearances on American Dreams with Alicia Keys, The Practice, Sister Sister, Kids Incorporated, Homeboys From Outer Space, My Cousin Skeeter, and The Tonight Show. Billy starred as Tyrone Jackson in the US and Europe touring company of the Broadway musical Fame. Billy went on to direct and choreograph the WeSparkle Take II Celebrity Concert with Tom Hanks, Jason Alexander, Brian Cranston, Joey Lawrence, Britney Spears, Michael Chiklis, Hal Sparks, the cast of Will & Grace, and more. He also choreographed the end sequence for the movie I Hope You Dance.
Since then, Billy has become the face for the new generation of fitness! He made history on the hit TV show Shark Tank after turning down a deal proposed by Mark Cuban and Daymond John when the latter shark left the tank and talked Billy into taking the deal. The result was his business Dance It Out® (DIO®) becoming the fastest growing fitness based dance program in America! Billy comes from a fitness family, his father is Tae Bo® creator Billy Blanks, and has twenty plus years in the field.
He is the proud daddy of his son Elijah.

Kathy Crooymans

Kathy Crooymans brings over 25 years of sales, marketing, and finance experience to Billy Blanks Jr.’s Dance With Me. A seasoned executive, Kathy has been instrumental in the development and executive management of several business in varied industries. Kathy met Billy in 2007 and has had the pleasure of working alongside him on several projects through the years.

Eric Shoji


Eric Shoji came into fitness world in 2007, where he caught the attention of Fitness Expert and Creator of Dance It Out (DIO)®, Billy Blanks Jr. Soon, he began teaching and presenting DIO® across the country, later becoming the program’s Certification Director.
Managing all the DIO® instructors worldwide (1000 in America, 1200 in Japan, 200 in Taiwan), Eric opened Blanks Studios in March 2014.
Eric has then gone on to work and perform with Billy Blanks (SR), Paula Abdul, the HodgeTwins, tWitch (So You Think You Can Dance), and more. Eric also accompanied Billy on his Dance It Out® tour in Japan as his DJ. He currently teaches Dance It Out® at Blanks Studios in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Tor Campbell

Studio manager and Instructor

Tor’s experience is wide and varied, and have extensive creative direction credits both domestically and internationally, most notably in The Venetian Hotel in Macau, China. There he produced shows and ran the entire Playboy Bunny program where he was responsible for all aspects of its immense success, including sourcing and recruiting international talent, leading the training and development of dancers and performers and directing and choreographing a diverse repertoire of shows.  On a national level, he has choreographed and directed numerous Musical Theater productions at several theaters in Los Angeles. Additionally, he has independently developed several innovative and unique Performing Arts programs, encompassing the many varied aspects of the Musical Theater experience, from casting and recruitment, the development of dance/voice/acting, to workshops in technical and stage management. His most current projects includes tours and regional productions of Dreamgirls, Mamma Mia & and a musical currently touring South Africa.
